Portraits of Hannah Honyman (1799-1868)
I am very grateful to Mrs Denise Zwilling Olgiati for having given me two portraits of Hannah Honyman, Adolphe Monod’s wife. The first portrait is a coloured painting:
In his thesis “Prophet and Peacemaker – The Life of Adolphe Monod” (1984) James Osen also has reproduced this painting (which Mrs Pierre Olgiati had shown to him). The picture is sharper but only in black and white.
I am very happy to be able to present a second portrait, a photograph, which, as far as I can see, has not been published yet.
